  2. That's gorgeous!

But that presence of the dog tags BEFORE Anderson gives them to Shepard is gonna drive me up a wall XD

    1. Shhhhh - I was hoping no one would care :D

(also I sometimes mod the coalesced to make Shep wear the hoodie at the beginning!)

    2. I got rid of the hoodie in favor of the jacket :D

  3. I love the outfit but it isn't rendering right in my game, the pants texture is loading on her arms and the flesh is on her butt, and while pretty hilarious, I was wondering what I did wrong. I have the files placed properly and have texmod loaded. Also some of the textures are just black. http://i43.tinypic.com/120s0gh.jpg

    1. The texmod isn't loaded. Not sure why!

    2. I have exactly the same problem. Looks absolutely gorgeous before that damnable explosion *shakes fist*. After that it all gets a little weird, the fleshy butt kinda heads in the "what cannot be unseen" section! I've been racking my brain about it all and the only solution I could come up with is that it may be because I perma-modded the original 'Intro' outfit many moons ago with Ottemis'textures (which I happened to forget that I did *facepalm*)and so the TPF won't load the damaged textures because it's being overwritten with the permanent ones? In my head this made sense! I hope I'm translating my brain well. I <3 <3 <3 your mods ELE thank you so much for your time and effort! Me and my Shep appreciate it...especially her long lovely locks of hair. Anyway I was wondering if that had something to do with the blackened/fleshy butt texture issue?

    3. If you have perma-replaced any of the textures the tpf will not work.

You can: re-grab the textures and rebuild the tpf OR edit the coalesced.bin to use the clean textures for both instances. Or you could repair your game to its original state and re-do your mods.

    4. I haven't perma-replaced anything, I just downloaded ME3 on this laptop so I'm not sure why it's being horrifying.

    5. Me neither, unfortunately. I included source files if you want to replace the textures yourself.

    6. I got it to work after I reinstalled the game, not sure why it wasn't working but thanks. :)

    7. Having the same problem. I've since perma-modded the dress but I've had the problem before so I've had to clean up my install which took a while. The perma-dress replacement works fine.

Now, you've included source files for people who would like to do a manual replace. Where would I put them? I can about follow the instructions I used for the dress but I need to know where. That's the four .dss files as well as the .upk.

Would I have to rename them for the game to recognise them as the replacer for the combat fatigues?

Sorry, I've been modding DA:O a fair bit but Mass Effect is an entirely new learning curve ...

    8. Mass Effect was never intended to be modded so there's zero game support. You need to use ME3Explorer to edit your game files. I suggest heading to their forums.

This is my page for mesh replacement source files, there is a link to a very brief tutorial:

This one needs to happen. I have no idea where that combination DefJane/PonyTail can be acquired BUT DEAR GOD DO I WANT IT XD

    1. Right?

Think I might mess around with 3DSMax, see if I can't smash the two models together to make something kinda like that. Looks like they just ripped off the front of DefJane and slapped it on the pony tail's hairline. Hm.

    2. Oh dear,that hair looks lovely. A shame i can't use ME3 explorer for some reason T.T

  6. I love this! Thanks for sharing - looks awesome with the wavy hair, too :)

Quick question - how difficult would it be for me to combine the .pcc for this with the one for the Kasumi dress, since they don't replace the same outfit? I'm not new to modding but I've never used ME3 Explorer before, I've only ever used texmod.

    1. Not too difficult!
Follow this tutorial on replacing meshes using UPK files with meshsplorer (meaning you can skip all the extra texture and mesh parts)
and replace the dress with Kasumi and the Intro with the vest. Then run both texmods.
I would suggest using this PCC (the vest mod) and mesh replacing the dress (that way you only have to do one outfit.)
If you replace different outfits, the texmods will need to be redone.

  9. It's PERFECT! Thank you so much :D

Do you know if this kind of mod can interfere with MEHEM?

Oh, and I'm going to see if I can replace a different casual outfit with the puffy vest, preferably the "off-duty spacer"; I'm rather fond of the battle dress uniform. (I have no experience modding, but I'm hoping the tutorial you linked for Marilya will have all the info I need.) Not that you needed to know that, but before I rip apart my game, I figured I'd ask: I don't suppose you have a version of the mod lying around that does something like this already?

    Thanks again--your work is beautiful.

    1. Thanks!
I don't think it should interfere with MEHEM at all, but I've never tried them together so I can't say 100%.
      And I don't, sorry!

    2. Follow up:

Replacing the spacer outfit proved way too complicated, BUT I did manage to replace the hoodie instead (the one that comes with the Collector's edition). I made a post over on the ME3Explorer forums listing out the steps, in case anyone else wants to do this:
      http://me3explorer.freeforums.org/manually-replacing-textures-for-new-mesh-resolved-t670.html

(What you want is the 2nd post; the first one is me rambling on as I try to figure out what I'm doing.)

To clarify, following those instructions means that Shep's battle uniform is unaltered (both during the starting sequence and afterwards), Femshep's hoodie is replaced by the puffy vest, and Maleshep's hoodie remains unaltered. MEHEM also appears to work just fine.

Thank you so much, Ele08--I am tickled PINK!! My shep looks like a badass!

  10. what is the Intro Outfit name to replace in the ME3Explorer?

  11. Just curious if you have seen the puffy vest with the alliance symbol on the back. I use yours currently but keep thinking I saw the other one somewhere and thought you might know.
